Grudge's Fury

She taught ballet through a brick through the window. He put three men in the hospital before lunch. Now the only thing standing between her and a drug lord's army is a man with HOLD FAST on his knuckles and no interest in asking twice.

Emmy Vaughn built Vaughn Studio on a Greyhound ticket and forty dollars — one sliding-scale lesson at a time, one four-year-old in a tutu at a time, one Saturday class where every kid who walks through the door matters more than the money they can't pay. When a fentanyl dealer decides her storefront is in the way of his expansion, three enforcers walk into her children's class like they own it.

Wrong studio.

Grudge, enforcer for the Memphis Marauders MC, was in the parking lot for a collection when the screaming started. He dropped three men in eight seconds, called his president, and put himself between Emmy and every soldier Henry Dubose sends — not because she asked, but because the dance teacher who stepped between armed men and her students is his the moment she tells him she had it handled.

Henry Dubose has thirty enforcers, a business empire, and a dead brother's reputation to defend. He doesn't want her lease. He wants her gone.

Grudge doesn't let go of what's his.

In Memphis, the blues play loud enough to cover what happens in car wash back offices — if you survive the man who walks in after closing.

Some men hold fast to keep from falling. Some find a woman worth never letting go.
