Heaven has a new Head Administrator.

Gabriel is ambitious, upwardly mobile and anxious to be promoted out of the archangel ranks.

And he's going to do it through data.

He has a mandate. Make Heaven Relevant Again. Through his revolutionary Guardian Initiative, he's taken a thousand angels off other duties and assigned them to Earth as Guardian Angels. Their job is to report. Never to interfere. The data must remain uncorrupted.

Cael is one of the brand-new Guardian Angels.

He's assigned to Lily, an eight-year-old little girl with a bright future.
