Her friends call her Ms. B which is short for Brenda. Brenda grew up in a small rural area in Virginia, with her parents and a family of nine sisters and one brother. As a child, she always dreamed of writing short stories but did not pursue that dream. Instead of writing short stories, she attended college and received a bachelor degree in social work. Brenda worked in the field of social work for several years and decided to go back to school and obtain a master’s degree in social work.
She truly enjoys the field of social work because it gives her the opportunity to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and tries to empower them to make life better for themselves. She has worked with mentally challenged to severely emotionally disturbed children and adults. Presently, Brenda works as a social worker/therapist. She works with children and families to provide individual family counseling services. She has a passion for writing children’s stories and feels honored to be able to share it with the world.
