Profoundly encouraging!

As an aspiring product manufacturer with intentions of starting and growing into a large scale operation, I am incredibly inspired by the focus and subsequent courage it took for the 2 founders to maintain. Years and years of unsure footing and mistakes show the type of inventiveness and shear willpower it takes to build one of the greatest American companies to date. From a purely manufacturing perspective, the descriptive ins and outs Mr. Taylor describes is already proving very useful to my brother and I as we launch our production and investment strategies. Thank you Mr. Taylor for being so easy to read and so simply honest in describing some of the pivotal moments in your companies history. I am a much better businessman as a result of reading this book "Guitar Lessons". I have read most of what has been published by great American businessmen and this one sits at the top of my list. One more thing, and probably one of the most important issues in our recent times is the absolute void in quality American business leadership. It's really exciting to see that there is still a honest and highly efficient set of leaders like the heads of Taylor Guitars. I will suggest this book to people for years to come as a book that marked a number of very important "aHaa" moments for me as an evolving future leader.

Great Life Lessons

My initial enjoyment of this book was fueled by my love of Taylor Guitars, but I found myself highlighting many passages that felt were just great life lessons that anyone could learn from and apply to their professional and personal lives.

There is also a great deal of wisdom for those looking to start their own business. In my opinion, the best chapter of the book revolved around Bob learning to be a better employer and rectifying some HR policies to better serve everyone.

It becomes very clear throughout the text that Bob is a wonderful owner and human being. His kind temperament and positive attitude has carried him far in life.

Light reading. Easy concepts. Recommended!
