An Excellent Series
The second book of The Claire Whitcomb Series, Gunslinger, is full of dangerous excitement. Traveling by train, stagecoach and horseback from Leadville, Colorado to Tombstone, Arizona is treacherous. The trip provides insight into the perilous circumstances during the 1880s. Claire educated in self defense and shooting by Marshal Mart Duggan and Thomas a Ute warrior stands up and successfully defends herself and fellow passengers. The multiple encounters earn Claire the name of Gunslinger.
The Claire Whitcomb series offers a different approach to exploring a women’s independence and abilities. The series is an excellent read.
