Haiti: Sun-dried and Illuminated

100 days after the earthquake demolished Port-au-Prince, scarring the nation of Haiti, we arrived on the island with the Volunteer Medical Team of Friends of the Children of Lascahobas, Haiti, as five fellow artists ready to observe. We found a force strong enough to defeat all human suffering: faith.



We wanted to know the hopes of the Haitian people. We wanted to know how they viewed their country through their own eyes. We wanted to see what would happen if instead of settling for subjectivity, we attempted to achieve objectivity through a more personal story. Haiti: Sun-dried and Illuminated is the result.
