Hallways and Doorways

Everyone is going somewhere. Change is not only a transformation from young to old, death and rebirth, it is a journey. From the moment we wake and place our feet on the floor we are moving through doorways, down hallways, and into streets filled with people.

 Each person we meet is uniquely rich with cultural and linguistic experiences as foreign to us as another country. If we walk far enough we will enter paths that lead us through fields of grass. If we travel even further we will enter the brilliantly dark green world of forests.  

The meaning of life is to find an adventure and fill it with your love. See an invitation and enter the world that beckons to us.  

This book is a collection of 30 years of hallway and pathway paintings that represent what I felt each time I stepped on the rough century old fire bricks of San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Babtista, the Grand Canyon, Russia River or a clay alley way in Atlanta.
