Junior angel Bethany, created only seventeen mortal years ago, has accompanied senior angels Gabriel and Ivy on a mission to Earth, the exact nature of which is yet to be seen. While awaiting events, Bethany attends high school and quickly acquires a best friend and a boyfriend, though she knows she ought to remain focused on her angelic mission. Much of the book details Bethany and Xavier s travails as their Romeo and Juliet relationship develops; it is not until the end that Agents of Darkness make an appearance that will, presumably, feature more prominently in the rest of the planned trilogy. Teenage author Adornetto s U.S. debut shows an impressive command of language; while there are some holes in her world-building (Bethany s knowledge of earthly things is all over the place she knows what a Peter Pan collar is, yet is ignorant of seatbelts), they aren t likely to bother the target audience much. The fantasy is sweet and enjoyable, if theologically superficial, but the white and Catholic character of both Heaven and Earth may alienate some readers who don t fit the assumed demographic. Ages 12 up.

Omg read it!!
I love this book so much there is a series!! Bethany church Is an angel that gets sent to earth and thats all i can tell u with ought spoiling it! So Please i beg u go read the book!! Im almost done with the last book heaven and i reallly hope he makes another book to the series!!!!
Boring/ ranting
A hormone driven angel? Come on?!? I've always liked the idea of a fallen angel who fell cause they fell in love; I'm sorry God, but that is not the worst reason (or bad) to fall. A naive angel who knows nothing about human emotions and human toys, I could agree that the story may be plausible. Can't stand the inconsistency in the story, is Beth an angel or a teenager? Is she young yet still an angel, supposedly good and wise and all that with certain power etc etc? Or is she just a hormonal teen girl adopted by a family of angels? What's with the whole family ability to heal but Xavier got a concussion and have to "conveniently" miss prom, while another girl in bad auto accident in front of the whole student bodies, with proof of her car in a bad shape and "supposedly" bloody from the fatal injuries she sustained, discreetly healed? Concussion vs mangled bloody body...which do you think is more noticeable? What is with bro and sis angels who just stood by watching their sister commit the forbidden? If it's forbidden and they knew about it from the beginning, why just letting it happen? Sorry but it just a contradiction, the story goes on and on about how their love is forbidden and punishable by God knows what kind of wrath, yet they could continue on like it's only a couple teens who keep sneaking out after being grounded? Well, which one is it??? I kept waiting for the story to get exciting, I though maybe in every chapter 'this is it, gonna be the end of the line or those two love birds, the wrath of heaven gonna come upon them, they're gonna get separated and they both have to find ways to be together again!". Nope, it was unexpected, but kinda fall flat. Don't think I'd buy the next book, I'd gate to find myself skipping sentences and paragraphs.
