Hans Bear

Presented here is a collection of fairy tales and ghost stories by German author Theodor Storm (1817-1888). In these tales a boy is kidnapped and mothered by a bear, a boy sails to the moon, a man goes on a quest for the philosopher's stone, a miser is tormented by two terrifying cats, two lovers seek an end to their farming town's draught, a countess is given a magic mirror, and a doctor is haunted by his dead friend.
