Hard Truth

Invested in the story but not my type of love language. Still happy I read it to finish the series.

I’m writing this review for all 4 books. Wasn’t expecting the first book to be from before Tarquinius escaping the compound. At first it started out great but got redundant and I kinda just wanted to move on.
Book 2 was ehhhh as well felt like book 1 and 2 could have been condensed. But we got to see why Tarquinius was the way he was. I first read about him in Neils book and I did not like his character but know I understood why he was the way he was. But I did feel like his character in that book was totally different from how he was in these books. Which leads me to book 3 where we get to see what his time was like during Neils and Lunas encounter with him and Talerco but he was much for vocal with them all in their books and seemed like he was a good friend and in these books he is standoffish and rude to them. Glad Talerco was in this book but didn’t understand why he keeps leaving his S/O to rescue women. Kendall was also in this book and really not a big fan of her either especially in this book. Book 4 is about them actually coming together and forgiving their past was escaping a better ending of maybe her being with child finally . Book 3 and 4 also could have been put together. Giving it a 4 for the last two books . Just felt like his story could have been better. And his attitude towards others that helped him didn’t change even all those years of being out of compound life .

I loved their story! I loved the characters! I wish it could of ended with her pregnant, but still great read!
Only thing I didn’t like was it took 4 books to conclude!
