Publisher Description
It's been months since Dr. Harleen Quinzel began interviewing criminals at Arkham Asylum, and she's having strange dreams about one of them in particular: The Joker. What starts off as nightmares will soon evolve into fantasies. Despite warnings from the Dark Knight himself, she's utterly fascinated by this man who seems the perfect expression of her theory; who says all the things she needs to hear; who seems to know her better than she knows herself. Harleen is a bold new reimagining of the origin of one of DC's most beloved characters, as envisioned by writer/artist Stjepan Sejic. Collects Harleen #1-3.

harley quinn …
this is absolutely gorgeous. you have a greater outlook on her thoughts and why she made the decisions she made. the way she slowly watches herself fall into madness but is also in denial. she focuses on joker rather than on herself, saying that shes doing this to help him, *heal* him.
we truly saw what she saw in him when they first met. how she fell in love. what he did. we didn’t know what was actually happening. we just know the harley parts—the unreliable narrator. where the story only fits their perspective, not everyone else’s.
i also love the symbolism in some of the panels. where joker is holding up a queen card in front of harley. it was almost foreshadowing what her future was going to be; joker’s harlequin.
i love this book so much. stjepan did amazing.
(also in the end there’s harlivy hints 🤭)
