Harlequin and Columbine

Newton Booth Tarkington was a famous American novelist and dramatist best known for his novels The Magnificent Ambersons and Alice Adams. He is, with William Faulkner and John Updike, one of only three novelists to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction more than once.

Harlequin and Columbine is a notable novel by Newton Booth Tarkington.  This all-consuming book is a short novel about the production of a play. The main character of the story is Stewart Camby, who is writing his masterpiece during the whole book.  The story begins by portraying a scene including the beginning of dress rehearsals. The atmosphere among the actors is formed intensive and nervous! What's wrong with it?
