Enjoyable Read
I enjoyed the fresh take on Harley Quinn...not the ditzy kickable side kick from days of old and not the pseudo-intelligent bubbly antihero that she’s become.
This version of Harley Quinn shows her real raw intelligence as she calculates and plots and sows mayhem and discord as she stumbles upon a path that’s all her own. The Joker makes an appearance but he doesn’t steal the spotlight and there’s no tug of war in her head over how she feels about him. There are other characters as well; all interesting in their own right.
But back to HQ; she’s less peppy blonde and more introspective which I can appreciate and if you enjoy reading Batman stories where he tackles various cases through Gotham all while grappling with his own demons and past, you would enjoy this book as it’s similar but told from the POV of Clown Princess of Crime.
