Hate To Want You

First, this book touched on some very real issues that are faced by healthcare workers on the daily. As a healthcare worker, I feel that those issues were very well researched & written.

Max Donnelly is the brother who everyone can count on. He’s the “smart” one & the one who stood by his mom’s side when his dad was injured & on life support. How certain aspects of his life have effected him, no one knows, because he picks up & keeps pushing through. He’s the gorgeous pediatric doctor who has the temperament that has earned him the spot of being everyone’s favorite physician to work with.

Heidi Morgan was an amazing pediatric nurse who moved away for 6 years & has now returned as an amazing pediatric physician intern. Working under the supervision of Max was going to be a great pleasure & opportunity, until his past & reservations set her on his warpath.

These two had a level of chemistry that surpassed any walls that either of them had constructed. They remained professional, but the tension was jumping off of the pages & I don’t know how their coworkers didn’t feel it. I loved the way that they were adult enough to sit down & talk to settle their differences. That communication completely altered both of them professionally to where they could show a mutual respect for each other.

Once they both discovered they could no longer hold back on their attraction, wow…did that chemistry ignite! They were so in sync & so absolutely perfect for each other. I loved their mutual respect even more behind closed doors.

The very real issues they encountered at work were heart breaking & it showed a level of grief that healthcare workers suffer from, even though others may not see it. Again, I felt that that aspect was so well written & it resounded in my reading.

This dive into the Donnelly’s was not at all what I was expecting the next installment would be. But at the same time, it was so much more than I could’ve bargained for. I’m definitely ready to get Jude’s story & see how his life changes.

This is definitely my favorite book of Julia. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope and this book didn’t disappoint me at all. Max Donnelly is here to make you anger, laugh, swoon and blushing too. Heidi is so perfect, powerful, smart and everything Max need to be better. I love how they works their problems and in a snap everything looks so much good, and very appealing lol. The ups and downs are really hard here, maybe you are going to cry like me (hey don’t judge me, I’m emotional), and all this feelings are going to make you love Max and Heidi more and more. I love all the Donnelly Siblings and how they connect with each other, they are definitely one of my favorites families. Can’t wait to read all their stories.
