Publisher Description
*Haunted is the perfect blend of ghost horror, with a dollop of psychological thriller and a sprinkle of romance.*
The dead don't forget. And they don't forgive.
Meredith Knight is desperate for change. Faking a parapsychology degree to land a job on a paranormal TV shoot in Scotland isn't exactly ethical, but it's her chance to escape the wreckage of her life—her alcoholic mother, the weight of her past, and the suffocating presence of her dead sister, Eve.
But the past isn't done with her.
A childhood teddy bear she swore she left behind reappears on shoot. Eerie voicemails are left on her phone. Shadows move when no one is there. And Eve… Eve's presence is only growing stronger.
As the pressure of the show mounts and terrifying visions blur the line between reality and nightmare, Meredith realises this isn't just a haunting. The truth about Eve's death is clawing its way to the surface. The past is closing in. And something in the dark is waiting for her to remember…
A gripping supernatural thriller packed with psychological suspense and hints of romance, Haunted will keep you turning pages long into the night.
*Trigger warnings – alcoholism, child abuse, murder, mental health issues, emotional abuse, the occult, Satan/the devil, profanity*

Good read
A good read with a creepy atmosphere. However, the ending felt like a bit of a letdown (for me) and predictable. There was so much buildup, so I expected more. But, it was fine and I didn’t want to put it down (until the last 3 chapters which slowed down the pacing). On another note, there are British terms in it, some of which I didn’t know. Not saying that’s an issue, but to be aware that you may need to look up some terms and phrases. It actually helped me learn some new words (like “kohl” = eye liner). But for the price ($4.99), you can’t go wrong.
