Faithfulness and Belief
Being someone that has always struggled to fill the pages in my own journal, I tend to shy away from autobiographical works. The short-story format makes the read comfortable. It brought to mind tales such as “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “Frog and Toad,” and other allegories. Knowing the author as a horseman and understanding the man’s devotion to life and love is reassuring. But, being a book mostly focused on Christian thought and my uncle Glenn’s celestial impressions, it sometimes left a sour taste in my mouth because I, myself, have left behind most of my religious ties.
