Publisher Description
A beautiful woman stands by the side of the road, barefoot and bleeding, a child in her arms. Someone just tried to kill her, but she wouldn't recognize him if she saw his face. She doesn't even remember her own name.
A suburban cop surveys a kitchen in disarray—a woman and child missing, a chilling note. This crime scene is unlike any he has ever seen.
The man who calls himself Gideon waits and plans. He sees himself as a destroyer of evil, one who rids the world of abominations. He has already killed five. He will kill again.
And somewhere in the wilderness, in a secret geocache near where the wild swans gather, lies the unspeakable clue that links them all together.
Michigan's rugged and beautiful Upper Peninsula is the setting for this absorbing tale of love and loss, beauty and terror, grievous sins and second chances. A deftly woven thriller from the bestselling author of the Rock Harbor novels.

A KILLER. VIEW
HAVEN OF SWANS by Colleen Coble, publish by Thomas Nelson, a Rock Harbor novel, release date of May 2. Takes place in Rock Harbor, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It starts off with the dark side, showing the killer's view. Another side of him going home and kissing his daughter good night. A woman bleeding carrying a child, standing by the road, having been attacked. Luckily Bree finds her and takes her home to where her husband and Samson a search and rescue dog live. There is more killing so another cop shows up, this woman refugee feels a connection to him. Yet, is it good or should she be leery of him. A place in the wilderness, where the swans are at, there is a geocache that will tie them all together. This book was darker then her other books I felt, and have all of hers. I feel her attempt was to write the plot from a killers mind. Some may like and others will not. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Absolutely fraudulent!!
I have to say how totally disappointed I am that such a talented author is allowing her work to be recycled and passed off as something "new". If you look at Abomination, it literally has the the same description. The EXACT same word for word description as this "new" book. Just a different title. Imagine the disappointment for those whom, like myself LOVE the Rock Harbor series and would have been thrilled to have a new book in his series. Total let down!! This is ethically crossing a line I'd expect not to find from someone of Coleen Coble's high ethical reputation.
