This accessible novel offers a new entry point into Max's world of evil corporations and superhuman hybrids, splitting the narrative's first-person perspective between Hawk and her mother. While the novel doesn't bring anything new to dystopian fiction, it's a fast-paced, action-packed read, ideal for fans of the original series. Ages: 12 up.

Satisfied my need for more of the Flock
A truly exciting book filled with many ups and downs that I expected from James Patterson. My passion for these books grew with each chapter. A few tears of joy were shed as I had flashback memories from the previous series. It was an emotional roller coaster and I felt as if I was Hawk the entire time. A great read altogether!
