Heart Thieves

When Christopher, Earl of Eastcott and Baron Rivenhall, a man bored with his life and making it more interesting with occasional larcenous activities, was preparing to steal a small treasure of jewels from his neighbor, about the last thing he would have expected was competition. Even less he expected that he would have to rescue the person in question from drowning after being shot; and, as if that were even possible, that it would turn out to be a woman dressed as a man.

Elizabeth Manning, daughter of the late Viscount Manning and now almost penniless because of her cousin's vengeful scheming against her, is grimly determined to right at least some of the wrongs done to her, even if she was shot during her attempt to rob her hated cousin and is now alive only because of Christopher's intervention.
