Hearts in the Den

The Den For Grieving Kids in Connecticut is a family program that helps participants deal with their grief and begin the healing process following the death of a parent, family member or friend. The Den offers peer support groups for children ages 3-5, 6-9, 10-12, Teens, Young Adults and Parents/Caregivers. The peer support groups are specific to the type of death: illness, accident, homicide, suicide AIDS related illness and terrorism. The Den For Grieving Kids Programs also serve as a Bereavement Resource Center offering the services to the community and professionals.

All Den For Grieving Kids programs are offered at no cost to participating families. On October 18, 2001, an additional Night of Service was established for families directly affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
