A heartfelt and humorous hollywood romance!
Heartthrob is a sweet, yet savory, romantic comedy that gets you hot and bothered one minute, just to turn you into a gooey puddle of emotions the next.
The story follows the journey of THE hollywood heartthrob Jax, and his childhood friend, Penny. Needing to overhaul his "playboy" image to land the role of his dreams, Jax hires Penny to play his doting girlfriend. But when the lines between fiction and reality blur, will these two be able to walk away from their "relationship" with their hearts intact?
I'm sure I've said this before, but I'll just say it again: Katie McCoy's books leave me with a perma-smile on my face. Not only is her writing exceptional, but she takes the "fairytale" hollywood romance and puts a unique twist on the storyline. Jax and Penny are remarkable, and quite polar-opposite, characters, and their dynamic and chemistry together sparks off the pages. The sexual tension exuding from their "relationship" builds up, and evokes an anticipation that make readers riddled with impatience...but in a good way.
I really enjoyed this book! Highly original and entertaining, with the perfect undertones of humor and insecurities, Heartthrob is a charming and engaging, romantic friends-to-lovers page turner!
