Heaven Can Wait

Set against the backdrop of a harrowing, cross-state journey that culminates in the sanctuary of 1428 Maple Street, the narrative follows Lester—a stoic, devoted man of sixty-five—and his wife, Trish, as they transition from the frantic survival rituals of the road into a post-arrival domestic peace. Supported by their daughters Lashanda, Latisha, and Leah, Lester maintains a relentless, unblinking vigil over Trish's final days.
