Disjointed
I finished the first book which I liked about 3/4 through. I can’t finish this one. Feels rushed and patchy. I am a big “pictures in my head” person and this particular author skips brush strokes, if you know what I mean. Especially with physical encounters. I have a hard time envisioning it. Or I have a great picture and then it changes and I have to reframe suddenly. It feels jarring to me. Maybe it’s just the way I think, but I didn’t find it to flow well and the plot was getting flat. I’m shocked that it’s rated so well.
