A second chance at a love of a lifetime after years of a bad decisions and duty bound.
Annie Jordan made the mistake of life marrying her ex husband, a abusive and degrading man. She’s vowed never to be controlled by a man again. She hide behind her dowdy clothing and her beautiful antique store. She believes all she needs is her shop and her load and active nieces and nephews to make her life complete.
Lucas Raven has spent the last 25years married to a women he did not love but stayed with because of their twin sons. Just recently retired from the police department he moves back to his home town with hopes of reconnecting with the one women that’s always been in the back of his mind. His best friends little sister Annie Jordan.
The minute Lucas sees Annie he knows the attraction is still as strong as the day he left years ago. He sees the attraction in Annie’s eyes but there is also tremendous fear that was not there years ago. He comes up with an idea how to send more time with Annie, there’s some antiques in his attic that she may be interested in. Annie can’t resist treasure hunting and finds some nice stuff but also a very old journal and a strange and creepy doll. The journal tells of the curse attached to the doll.
Lucas spends as much time as he can showing Annie he’s not like other men and that they could have a good life together. Annie becomes more and more attached and comfortable with Lucas but the fear is still there even if she’s never felt as safe as she does with Lucas. She still can’t seem to let go of the past and believe not all men are the same. Strange and odd things start to occur and the first person Annie thinks to call is Lucas she wants to believe in Lucas but things are spiraling out of control.
Is it the curse that’s reeking havoc or is there someone behind all the weird things and accidents going on. When everything comes to an explosive point will Lucas be able to save Annie before she is lost to him forever?
