Her Defiant Warrior is the fifth book in Caitlyn O’Leary’s Omega Sky Series, featuring a riveting slow burn romantic suspense story for Jase and Bonnie. Jase has been living the high-octane life of a Navy SEAL for a long time, and he’s starting to long for a wife and family of his own after watching so many of his teammates settle down. After meeting Bonnie in a set-up by his sister-in-law, he feels like his luck may be turning around, but the single mom of precocious twins is wary of him due to the reputation many SEALs carry as players. Will he have time to prove himself a serious candidate for a relationship, before he’s shipped out on another dangerous mission that could put everything at risk?
Jase had my heart from the prologue!! I knew with the amount of emotion and heart in that prelude, that his story was going to be great, and it was!! Bonnie was the perfect woman for him— a strong, independent, single mom who always puts her kids needs first. Her twins, Amber and Lachlan, were brilliantly written and hilarious little troublemakers that I would love to read stories for as adults!! 😂 Jase and Bonnie had great chemistry, with plenty of angst as he fought to go at her pace. The slow burn just about drove me insane, but the payoff was worth it with the way the story went. The suspense aspect was top notch with twists, heart-pounding action, and that epic teamwork between the SEALS that I love so much!! This mission was a real nail-biter and had me worried, but I loved every second!! Don’t miss this must-read book that can be read as a standalone, although when you meet the other characters, you’ll want to read their stories, too!
It Started With a Bet
Jace was a protector as a boy and even more so as a SEAL. Bonnie is more focused on job and motherhood and no time for other encounters. A lost bet leads to a new beginnings. Family, friendship, romance and, yes, a mission with his team. A page turner at its best. Bravo!
