Wow!
Everything you expect from Blake Pierce! Love the way she builds scenes and relationships. Only disappointment is that there are more typos than usual. Mixing of pronouns and punctuation errors contribute to my belief the books are automatically voice-dictated and/or typed in a flurry. Despite that, anxiously look forward to every new book in all her series!
Good story, terrible editing
I’ve been reading this series and enjoying the stories. I like the characters and the mysteries weave together well. It seems, though, that there is absolutely minimal editing. In this particular book the main character was misnamed several times early-on and a character later in the story was both Toby and Troy. Punctuation and capitalization are frequently missing and misplaced; incorrect words replace what was likely intended, confusing the sense of things. Perhaps it is a function of ebooks, but everything I’ve read by this author, while a good story, is challenging to get through with all the confusion of absent editing.
