The very epitome of twisty
Credible, gripping characters and a surprisingly taut suspenseful build. There is just one major surprise pivot that lacks context, credibility and full coherence.
It is this one major, central device that kind of ruins it all for me. It works beat by beat for the seat of your pants, sinister scary story. However this contrivance irrevocably damages the power of the whole story and was probably unnecessary.
