E.D.E.N Southworth (1819-1899) was an American novelist whose literary legacy counted up to more than sixty novels. She began writing stories in order to support herself and her children financially. She is best known for her novel 'The Hidden Hand' that tells us about a girl who behaves like a boy and finds herseld in various adventures.


'Her Mother's Secret' is a novel by E.D.E.N Southworth first published in 1910. As most of Southworth's works it is set in America after the Civil War. The novel features an exciting developing plot and colorful description of the life in America of those times.
