Mystery, Adventure, Romance
Lord Destrian White operates a successful shipping company that delivers gunpowder to the English war effort. Someone has blown up one of his ships, and he means to find who and why. Miss Fleur Dupont hiding in the shadows on the dock when the ship explodes. She is certain that the French spy who killed her father is responsible. When Dez finds her, he’s not so sure. These two are off on a wild adventure, taking the White family along with them. This is a fast-paced, exciting story. There is mystery, danger, treachery and betrayal. The plot is loaded with twist and turns, and there are not just surprises, but shocks. Dez and Fleur make a good team and a great couple. Their chemistry is strong and their attraction hard to fight. They are aided by members of the White family, notably Justice. I look forward to his story. Dez and Fleur are chasing through the night, braving caves, and helping save a ship from fire, searching for the French spy and the traitor who led him to Dez’s ship. All this while falling in love (although they try not to) and hoping for a happy future. A well-written engaging story. Remarkable characters. A great read.
