Gilbert Keith Chesterton was an English critic and author, remembered as a brilliant creator of nonsense and satirical verse, essays, novels, and short stories. The greatest writer and also the greatest thinker, he was one of the dominating figures of the London literary scene in the early twentieth century.

“Heretics” is one of Chesterton’s most important and also one of his most neglected books. It devoted to those who pride themselves on their superiority to conservative views. With his characteristic wisdom and good humor Chesterton appraises prominent figures such as Rudyard Kipling, George Bernard Shaw, H. G. Wells and others luminaries, and concludes that man is the animal who makes dogmas.
