Paradoxes a plenty
But seriously, Chesterton writes with flair and passion. He shows,of course, why he's right and others are wrong on religion, art, society, and economics, but does so in a cheerful, even loving way. He pokes more fun at his enemies' enemies than his enemies themselves, be they Shaw, Stevenson, or Wells. But in all he defends plainness: the joy, the happiness, the insight of common life.
