Herman

My name is Taylor. You don't know me and probably never will. I'm not a  writer. But Jason wanted to try. He's my husband.

I paid little if any attention to his     surname on the emeritus roster. It meant nothing to me until I started putting two and two together about the famed Ohio State professor. I don't know why but my fleeting curiosity at first, became a burning internal desire to know.

I asked about him more; recalled my teen years sneaking peeks at the diary; expressed my heart's ardent desire to volunteer and embarked on a happy journey, a memorable couple years as one of his caregivers. What a joy and a blessing the connection with this man has been.

I was quite awkward at his funeral  service, protruding a massive belly, about to deliver Violet. He was four days shy of his eighty-seventh birthday. But I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
