Fan-favorite urban fantasista Ree Reyes and her crew of Geekomancers—humans that derive supernatural powers from pop culture—take on their biggest foes yet in this fourth book of the Geekomancy series.
When Ree’s long time nemesis Lucretia is finally brought to trial and found guilty for the deadly attack on Grognard’s, the Geekomancer community breathes a collective sigh of relief. But Ree and her crew soon discover that Lucretia has three very angry, very dangerous sisters who won’t rest until Eastwood—a fellow Geekomancer—is killed.
What follows is an adventure packed with epic battles, a bit of romance, and enough geeky W00t moments to fill your monthly quota of adventure and fun.

Geek-centric Fantasy at its BEST!
"Hexomancy" is the perfect closer to the opening chapter of what I sincerely *hope* will become "the Ree Reyes SAGA."
The plot, which picks up where the "side-quest" novella "Attack the Geek" left off, revolves around the resolution of the conflict between Ree's "mentor" (and I wish there was a sarcasm font, right now!) Anthony Eastwood, and the hexomancers who seem to be after him. Of course, Ree gets pulled in, first as Eastwood's designated bodyguard, then as his more-or-less willing backup.
Michael Underwood continues to write brilliant action scenes, tied together with plots that twist and turn enough for excitement and surprise, without ever crossing into confusing or contrived.
Perhaps the thing I love most about this book-- heck, about this *series*-- is the sheer, joyous optimism of the characters and the world. Sure, things get pretty dark, and even occasionally grim-- but they don't stay that way, and the characters keep right on working to make their world a better place, and themselves better people. In the face of so many dark, grim and gritty urban fantasy series, this is a wonderful, refreshing, and even *necessary* change of pace.
The best of a brilliant series, this book left me chortling in delight. Even now, writing a review of it *two days* after I finished it... *I can't stop grinning!*
And you know, that's why Michael R. Underwood has become my no-holds-barred, no-exceptions-at-all, absolute utter FAVORITE urban fantasy writer.
The Ree Reyes series is, hands down, the most delightful urban fantasy series out there. Do yourself a favor, and go grab "Geekomancy," the first book in the series.
You'll be glad you did!
