Hibiscus Flower Bleeding Love

The more you stare at a door
The tighter it is sealed
Never fantasize
Open that door
And experience what is real
A reality beyond one’s imagination
A chance to achieve a desired expectation

Shantaley Foster-Bey is a passionate problem solver who has learned how to encourage and motivate herself through all of life’s challenges.
In a debut collection of urban poetry, Shantaley shares candid verse inspired by her personal experiences and perspectives that she hopes will help anyone struggling to know they are not alone and that they too can conquer obstacles. Throughout her reflections, Shantaley vividly explores her emotions, rebellious behavior as a youth, and subsequent personal growth lessons as she matures on the page, develops into a young woman, and determines her purpose in life.
Hibiscus Flower Bleeding Love is a volume of free verse that leads others down a lyrical path into a young woman’s past and present as she learns, loves, and finds self-acceptance.
