Description de l’éditeur
Born from opposing fae factions, Sophia must make a choice, which side will she choose, the light or the darkness?
Aden Clarkson, a member of the Grgul'ya Codex clan, doesn't do relationships. He prefers a no strings, no commitment approach to dating—a prearranged, mutually gratifying association. A connection he both dominates and controls, that is, until the alluring scent of Sophia Mahoney crosses his path.
College student Sophia Mahoney's life is upside down. Her uncle is dead—murdered. The Doccioner clan wants the Book of Light and Shadows, and an elite Maalik assassin is after her.
Follow Sophia Mahoney as she steps between waking realities into the world she never knew existed. A world full of dark and white magic. A world where witches and gargoyles battle for a foothold.

Huge Let Down
The premise of this story was one that seemed so intriguing! A Gargoyle and a Fae; Light vs Dark; and newly awakened magical abilities! I was so disappointed!
It starts off great - a lot of action; a huge, mythical fight; and she saves herself. Then runs into the male love interest (Deja Vu) and it was all downhill from there. Halfway through, it’s like there’s a completely different story being told.
There’s very little in the way of character development or World Development and any questions the reader might have are left with, essentially, “I’ll tell you later. Let’s have some poorly written sex scenes!”
Now, the sex scenes reminded me of a teenage boy trying to convince a girl to have sex after knowing each other for a few hours, and she doesn’t, but maybe she does, but no she doesn’t, oh and it happened, and that was nice, but oh, what are you doing! Stop!, okay, well maybe, but No! (repeat).
It’s also written in present tense, which was so jarring and there were times I had to go back because I thought I had missed a page or two, but nope.
Maybe they get better as you read, but I just couldn’t bring myself to go any farther with this series.
