Publisher Description

I’m always excited to start a new series by Ms. Barker and this one started with a bang!
Jonas Harvey. He’s ex military and a rancher. He also owns High Mountain Trackers.
Don’t waste time questioning your good fortune when you should be enjoying it instead.
Alex runs a animal rescue and lives right down the road.
Boy do they collide at first site. The more time they spend together the more attracted they become.
The pragmatist and the visionary. Opposites attract, guess that’s what makes us work well.
Crazy going on in the background leads to some suspenseful tension. As always I love that this couple is older and more mature.
This is definitely going to be a wonderful series.

Wonderful Romantic Suspense!
I received the paperback of High Meadow as a gift. This was my first book by Freya Barker, but it certainly won’t be my last. What a great romantic suspense book! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Ms. Barker has gained a true fan with this book.
Set in beautiful Montana, Ms. Barker did a wonderful job creating the High Mountain Trackers world and all of the characters. I can picture the ranch and the rescue, see the horses in the paddock and the barn. I can visualize not just the Hero and heroine of the story, but the wonderful supporting characters as well. They are real and are all very relatable. I love that this book has more mature characters who have some real-world history behind them, but also that life is as much about the family we choose as the family we are born with. I’m looking forward to having the rest of their stories revealed.
The suspense of this story drew me in and kept me captivated until the very end of the book. Had I not had to attend to my real life I would have buried myself in this book and read it in one sitting.
I highly recommend this book! Ms. Barker has gained another loyal fan with High Meadow.
