Following a bench-trial, appellant was convicted of the offense of "Possession or Transport of Certain Chemicals With Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance." See Tex. Health & Safety Code Ann. 481.124 (Vernon Supp. 2003). The trial court assessed punishment at confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Correctional Institutions Division for a term of ten years, with an added fine of $1,500. The trial court suspended imposition of the sentence and placed appellant on community supervision for a period of ten years. Appellant presents two issues for our consideration, viz:
