Publisher Description
Three types of readers will find this book useful: those who hire
workers with experience, those who hire recent graduates and those
who are getting ready to interview for a job. You will be introduced
to the four essential qualities that must be hired because they can’t be
taught.
For those interviewing seasoned talent, the hiring principles
that are laid out in WHIM are universal. The take-home point is that
the qualities that make an excellent employee don’t change based on
experience level. In fact, these same qualities are even more essential
as employees move up in an organization. Readers with hiring experience
will quickly empathize with the situations, questions and experiences,
all of which apply to experienced candidates.

A great book on how to hire great people
This is the best book on hiring that I have ever read. I've been hiring for over a decade and this is the first book I've read that broke down the hiring process into simple steps. I am a believer in the four qualities Miller lays out. This method works!
The book is well written and delivered in short chapters that will always leave you thinking. The tips that followed each chapter are invaluable.
I recommend WHIM to anyone involved in the hiring process.
Thought Provoking!
I have hired several team members over the past three years in my business, several right out of college. Garrett Miller has put many of the techniques I have used together in a memorable fashion that makes the hiring process more complete for me. If you do any sort of hiring this book will focus your search through the resumes and applications to help you find the right candidate complete through making an offer of employment. I highly recommend "Hire on a WHIM."
