I am so totally in LOVE with this series. Once again Ms. Roth delights us with her fantastic humor and creative story telling. The characters and the story pull you in from the first page. Mum is one of my favorites from the series...she always keeps me laughing. Ms. Roth has mastered the art of the surprise twist and I love it when I find myself giggling out loud while reading. Romance abounds as Ridley and Lainie find their way to true love. Anxiously awaiting the next installment!!

This is my first read from Kathleen. I was hoping it would be good. It was. She gave us a different story line. I would recommend this to everyone. Lainie has a problem that sends her to marry and leave her beloved Scotland. Ridley, Lord Caulfield, has about the same problem. She has a very large dowry and he needs a very large dowry. She gets homesick and he feels that he should take her back home where he finds out why she had to leave home forever. Spoiler. Later she hears a meeting and heard a wrong talk that sent her to go where she is alone. She takes her art paints and lives in the cottage on the grounds. Now she learns that what made her hide is over. She can go home now. But first Ridley wants to know why she wants to leave. He listens to her and learns what will keep her home. I liked this book.
