Great Book One
I’m a huge fan of Lee Savino, and her dark romances never disappoint. This latest book, set in the gritty, captivating city of New Rome from the Fraternitas series, introduces Inara, a brilliant police profiler with a unique ability to uncover hidden clues. She’s haunted by her past and now stalked by Rex Roy, one of New Rome’s most powerful billionaires. Both Inara and Rex are scarred by childhood violence, and Rex is fiercely determined to claim and shield her.
The story weaves in chilling letters and journal entries addressed to “Swallow,” growing darker and more menacing as the plot unfolds. These cryptic notes, paired with a shocking cliffhanger that teases the identity of a second stalker, kept me on edge.
