Surprisingly Good
I had low expectations from this book for several reasons. I had never heard of the author, and the cover of the book looked a bit lacking in my opinion. However, I’m glad i took the time to read it becasue the story was quite good. The book is well written, but the one thing i didn’t like was that the author doesn’t spend too much time giving the backstory. It is clear that Lenore and Rochester first met under difficult cirumstances. Througout the book this is just aluded too, and in several chapters they saw that Lenore wondered into his lands beaten, starved, and afraid. Rochester helped her. This is all clear, but it would have been nice if the author had given the whole back story, so that us new readers would understand better.

Next in a great series
This is part of a series. I enjoyed this story a lot. Gavin is a Lord Vampire who is tired of having potential brides thrust his way. He takes a young vampire as his bride to stop the pursuit. Lenore has been through hell and Gavin helps her to see that she is not a victim but a survivor. Their feelings grow for each other through the dangers that plague them and the village. I could not stop reading because I needed to know if they would survive the danger. I highly recommend this one.
