Historic Postcards

Take a step back to a simpler time and place, to the “golden age” of picture postcards in local Historian Michael Bushnell’s Historic Postcards of Old Kansas City, Volume II.



Picking up where Historic Postcards Volume I left off, the new release features almost one hundred antique postcards spotlighting various locations, companies, events, and buildings in Kansas City between 1898 when the Private Mailing Card was authorized by Congress to 1960 when the Photo-Chrome postcards were popular.



As an added bonus, we’ve provided clickable links on some postcards to showcase the additional postcards published in a series such as the tragic Pepper Building Fire on May 8th, 1907.
