Four areas of entrepreneurship laid the underpinning of Black businesses today: adventurers with successful economic ventures, inventors, insurance company owners, and bankers. The History of Black Business explores African-American-owned businesses in the United States during the eighteen, nineteen, and twentieth centuries through a series of case studies which we all should know, but probably do not. The History of Black Business is a quick, enjoyable and enlightening way to increase your African-American-owned business IQ.
The History of Black Business
Upon Reviewing this book, I thought it would be like the many other books I have read on Black Business, antidotal and limited in scope. However, it was just the opposite, well researched and comprehensive. It should be a must read in high schools and colleges as a standard lesson in American History. Great Read!
This amazing book belongs in every college campus, especially in HBCUs. As a young Black woman, I felt inspired and emblazoned to take on the world, headfirst. Thank you to the authors for bringing this book into existence.
This was such a great read! I was looking for a book like this to learn about my history. It is filled with great content. If you haven't purchased this book yet - you are doing yourself a disservice.
