Lovely lovely lovely
Nolan is a very talented writer that I know is a reliable author that will hit all the right contemporary romance notes. This book absolutely lived up to my expectations. This beautiful story unfolded and immediately pulled me in. I loved the immediate push/pull between the main characters and thoroughly appreciated how the story developed. I love this author and her writing. Always a one click for me.
Dreams really do come true!!
I love the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan, and her latest book “Hold Me Forever” is so magical and romantic that I couldn’t put it down. I read late into the night as I was caught up in Lark and Hunter’s sweet and tender romance. Their secret relationship may have ended six years ago, but they had never fallen out of love. If Lark could have foreseen the events of the past she would have never let Hunter go. He truly was the one that got away.
Lark wanted to quietly return to Heron Harbor for her sister's wedding, avoiding any drama and stealthy leave in her coveted RV, Minnie. But of course, those plans blew up as soon as her RV left the ferry. Lark tried to come up with an alternate plan but she was interrupted by a handsome prince who came to her rescue. Lark and Hunter are complete opposites who are perfect for each other. Lark’s artistic and carefree personality is the calming balm that Hunter needs as he navigates his busy day as the Chief of Police. Hunter’s by-the-book persona was fine with Lark as long as he didn’t try to boss her around.
When Hunter spotted Lark stranded on the side of the road he knew that fate had stepped in to answer his prayers. He finally had his chance to be with Lark again, to hold her and never let her go. His job was his life, but there had always been something missing, and Hunter needed Lark’s magical spirit and her everlasting love to make his life complete.
