Movies. Music. Mayhem.
Tate’s starring in a new action movie. It’s exactly the kind of role she needs to shake her child star image for good. But she’s about to discover just how shielded she was growing up. Can she handle the pressure of life on a set with judgmental colleagues and a megalomaniac director? Or will it bring up past issues she thought she were long gone?
Jack, meanwhile, can’t stand to think about music right now. It was what he spent his life working toward, but after his Ibiza dreams ended badly, he’s scarred. His record label agree to give him a break, but is it enough, or will his career change course forever?
Hollywood Destiny is the fourth book in the on/off romance series Hollywood Gossip. It’s a story about finding – and losing – yourself. It’s an emotional will-they, won’t-they romance with no guarantee of a happy ending.

An Ever-Changing Relationship
I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
In this fourth installment of the Hollywood Gossip Series, we meet up with Tate and Jack after the Ibiza crisis. Jack has been traumatized by the terrible ending to his DJ stint in the party capital of the world. After suffering from alcohol withdrawal in the elements with no way to get home, he has lost his desire to write any kind of music.
Tate, meanwhile, might finally have a chance to shed her child-star roots now that she is free of her management company. Her new manager has found her an action movie with a great script, and so she flies to Australia to get started. But things are not great on set, with a jealous costar, a megalomaniacal director, and bad treatment from most of the staff, Tate realizes she may be in over her head.
The separate stories of Jack and Tate are so wildly different that is difficult to reconcile. They each have so many problems. Tate begins to struggle with food, while Jack struggles with the ever-present temptation of alcohol to numb his pain. Their issues come to a head, and their will-they-won’t-they might be doing more damage than either of them suspects.
The emotions run high, and even when they fight with each other, you can relate to both sides. Kristina Adams has created another brilliant book with so much feeling. The ups and downs are brutal, but they change the characters in a meaningful way. Their struggles feel so realistic, and you will come to care for both of these characters. I would recommend this to those who want to go even deeper into this wonderful universe. Adams has created the most amazing world, and you will come to care deeply about everything that happens to Jack Cuoco and Tate Gardener.
