Whimsical Fairytale
Chris is heading home after retiring from the Navy. He wants to move closer to his mom and rebuild their relationship. Chris also accepted a job with the Lighthouse Security West Coast team. On the way to start his new life, Chris’ plane has mechanical issues. He gets delayed in Atlanta where he goes to the USO and meets Blessing. Blessing is quirky and offers odd advice using quotes. After a brief delay, Chris boards a plane and is greeted by seat mate Stella. Stella is total opposite of Chris. She’s an artist, talks a lot, and is a bit flighty. Chris is NOT any of those things….yet he’s drawn to her. When their flight is stranded in Kansas, Chris decides (in the guise of keeping Stella safe) to drive cross country with Stella. The more time they spend together, the more they’re drawn to each other! Chris can’t figure out why and knows they’ll each go their own way once they get to California….but trouble lurks!
One can NOT go wrong with a Maryann Jordan novel!!! I loved every minute of Chris and Stella’s journey! I loved that she was able to get Chris to “see, enjoy” life. From her small bladder, frequent picture stops, and travel snacks…Stella was so genuine. She didn’t hide her feelings, enjoyed life, and loved with her whole heart. This is a must read novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
The Journey, Travel Companions and the Unexpectant
Plane seat mates to unexpectant road trip buddies then more. Chris is starting a new journey and Stella adds the sparkle at the most unexpected times. Then comes danger. Strangers to friends to more. And for those who have not met the members of Lighthouse Security West Coast, here is an introduction to many of the members (another great series by Maryann Jordan). Strong men and stronger women. Bravo!

Chris and Stella were opposites thrown together by circumstances beyond their control. Deciding to travel by car to California became the catalyst to a change in both their lives.
Loved the interaction between the characters as they discovered a life that was more meaningful for them. Throw in a mystery that puts their lives in danger and you have the makings of another great Maryann Jordan romantic suspense story. Couldn’t put it down once I started.
Received an ARC for an honest review.
