Crying emotional heartwarming
This book isn’t just a romance. It’s a fairy tale love story about a dog and a child. The dog story is the center piece and reached my heart more than anything else. The adult romance is pretty standard otherwise.
May be it’s expected reaction by someone just recently owned by a dog for the first time in her life, but this story deserves awards, lots of them!

And if you are, too, you will love this story even more. I love anything this author writes, I think. This one is not a real long story, but, it still gets into the feels. A 17 year long romantic torch, a stray Golden Retriever, and a child dog whisperer. With a special chapter at the end that will melt your heart if you’ve ever wondered how your dog views it’s life (just wanting to love and be loved). Definitely would recommend reading to escape to a small, quaint town for a few hours and feel good. ~castaway
Everything I needed
This book was everything I needed at this moment. Two women, destined to fall in love, meet again in their home town after several years apart. Sometimes you just want an uncomplicated and simple love story, and this hits all the pleasure points. It is unpretentious and a calm, quick read. I would definitely recommend.
