The book is divided into three parts. Part one covers the basic needs and digital behavior of individuals, social behavior and how societies are affected by global online movements. Wonderful book!

Homo Digitalis by Natasha Saxberg Friis is both well written and inspiring. It focuses on how the new digital realm affect and respond to our basic needs and can be recommended to anyone eager to understand the digital human or even corporate opportunities in a digital world.

The book is based on interviews with experts in social neuroscience, sociology and psychology and focuses on the social networks and relationships - and not just on technology. In the book the author travels far and wide - from augmented reality and location-based services to love, adultery and entrepreneurship - and gives the reader an insight into the network society, and what social relations means to us as individuals.

One of the main points of the book is that social networks can enrich and expand our physical movements, but not replace them. And this is one of the strengths of the book - that we do not blindly cultivate social networks, but are in fact balancing our needs through physical and digital presence.

It is an amazing book to read and one that I would highly recommend.
