What began as a missing-person case becomes one of blackmail and murder.

Another great story but the last page was a disappointment, how about a little more or at least the title for the next Hap and Leonard adventure.

Terrible book
I read- a lot. And after a short sample I bought this book. I tried really hard to get through the first 100 pages but could only get to page 77. I always finish a book- even if I am not crazy about it- this will be the first book I could not finish. Vulgar for the sake of it. I am ok with vulgar- if used to make a point or add humor or for whatever reason. But this is vulgar for the sake of vulgar. There is no point to it. And every single character so far is the same kind of vulgar. No story - don’t even care to turn the page. Do not buy- you will be sorely disappointed.

Stayed with it to the end but probably shouldn't have. Liked the author story telling on the radio and thought the wit would stick in print but I was wrooong. To cheesy. I might try the TV show but probably no more Landsdale books.
