Just Wow
At first I thought this might be too far outside of the “contemporary romance” genre for me to enjoy but I was wrong. Joey W. Hill depicts the BDSM lifestyle in realistic terms through fascinating characters of real depth and complexity. Because she so obviously cares about her characters, we as readers do as well. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this novel, and I have re-read it twice. I discovered something new about the characters each time.
While I enjoyed this read, it is not for the faint hearted or for those looking for a “hot" romance novel.
Note: I actually started the Knights of the Boardroom series with this book, and then read the earlier ones not in any specific order. I wish there were more to come.
